Bridget Hall Is Inducted into History Honor Society at Greensboro College

Bridget Hall has been inducted into Greensboro College's chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta national honor society in history.

Hall is a junior history/social studies education and religion major from Greensboro, NC .

Inductees must have earned at least 12 credit hours in the discipline, with a grade-point average of 3.1 or better in those courses and an overall grade-point average of 3.0 or better. They also must rank in the top 35 percent of their class.

Phi Alpha Theta, the nation's oldest disciplinary honor society, was founded in 1921 at the University of Arkansas. Greensboro College's chapter, chartered in 2001, is advised by Professor Michael P. Sistrom.

Greensboro College, an independent, coeducational college affiliated with the United Methodist Church, is an academic and social community that unites the liberal arts and Judeo-Christian values in an atmosphere of diversity and mutual respect.

Founded in 1838 and located in downtown Greensboro, the college enrolls about 1,100 students from 32 states, the District of Columbia and 24 nations in its undergraduate liberal-arts program and four master's degree programs. In addition to rigorous academics and a well-supported Honors program, the school features a 16-sport NCAA Division III athletic program and dozens of service and recreational opportunities.
