Briony K. Lewis has been inducted into the Alpha Phi Sigma national honor society in criminal justice.

Lewis is a a senior criminal justice and sociology major from Greensboro, N.C.

Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic excellence in both undergraduate and graduate criminal-justice studies. Founded in 1942 at Washington State University, it is affiliated with both the Association of College Honor Societies and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.

Greensboro College's Mu Alpha chapter was chartered in 2012 and is advised by Deirdre Sommerlad-Rogers, chair and professor of sociology and criminal justice.
