Cali Nicole Horton Recognized by Greensboro College for Academic Excellence

Greensboro College has named Cali Nicole Horton a winner of the Howard C. Wilkinson award for academic excellence.

Horton is a freshman elementary-education major from Greensboro, N.C.

To be eligible, first-year students must have at least 14 hours of credits for grades (other than P) at Greensboro College with a minimum grade-point average of 3.6 for all work at Greensboro College. If they have transferred credits, they must also have a cumulative GPA of 3.6 for all college work.

Sophomores must have at least 45 hours of credits for grades and a minimum GPA of 3.6 on all work at Greensboro College. If they have transferred credits, they must have at least 15 hours of credits (other than P) at Greensboro College and must have a minimum GPA of 3.6 on all work at Greensboro College and a cumulative GPA of 3.6 on all college work.

The awards are named for the Rev. Dr. Howard C. Wilkinson, who served as Greensboro College's 14th president from 1972 to 1981. He passed away in 2007.
