Greensboro College Student Benita Adams Competes in Regional Vocal Auditions

A local Greensboro College music major, Benita Adams of Sparta, NC, competed April 5-6 in the regional auditions for the National Association of Teachers of Singing, held in Charleston, S.C.

Bernita Adams of Sparta won third place among senior women in musical theatre performance.

In addition to North Carolina, college/university music majors from Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina and Georgia participated in the Charleston event. Competitors are judged on such standards as voice characteristics, techniques, musicianship and artistry.

Greensboro College, an independent, coeducational college affiliated with the United Methodist Church, is an academic and social community that unites the liberal arts and Judeo-Christian values in an atmosphere of diversity and mutual respect.
