Michaela Richards Wins Greensboro College Honor for Early Academic Achievement

Michaela Richards, a junior theatre-education from Narragansett, R.I., was among 41 students to receive a Wilkinson Award from Greensboro College for early academic success at the college's recent Academic Awards Convocation.

To be eligible, first-year students (now sophomores) must have had at least 14 hours of credits for grades at Greensboro College. They must have earned a minimum GPA of 3.6 on all work at the college, including transferred work.

Sophomores (now juniors) must have had at least 45 hours of credits for grades and a minimum GPA of 3.6 on all work at Greensboro College. If they have transferred credits, they must have at least 15 hours of credits for grades at Greensboro College and must have a minimum GPA of 3.6 on all work, including transferred credits.

The award is named after Dr. Howard Wilkinson, who served as Greensboro College's 14th president from 1972 to 1981.
