Eight Greensboro College Students Inducted into Business Honor Society

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Greensboro College's chapter of the Delta Mu Delta honor society in business has inducted eight new members. They are:

William Curry, a senior accounting major from Lexington, N.C.

Olivia Davidson, a junior accounting major from Crofton, Md.

Caitlin Nicole Maxwell, a senior Business Administration major from Raleigh, N.C.

Emily Navpanahi, a senior Business Administration major from Greensboro, N.C.

Brian Pulliam, a junior Business Administration major from Greensboro, N.C.

Zane Michael Smith, a senior Business Administration major from Mesa, Ariz.

Lexia Jade Wingler, a senior accounting major from Greensboro, N.C.

Nicole Wood, a junior Business Administration major from Stokesdale, N.C.

To be eligible for induction, undergraduates must have completed at least one-half of the work required for the degree with a cumulative average grade record of one quarter (0.25) of a step above a B, or better, and must be in the top 20 percent of their college class in cumulative average grades.

Delta Mu Delta was founded in 1913 and joined the Association of College Honor Societies in 1963. It has about 200 active chapters today. Since 1992, the society has been affiliated with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, the accrediting agency for Greensboro College's business administration program.

Greensboro College's chapter of Delta Mu Delta, designated as Lambda Xi, was chartered in 2009. Its advisor is Teresa Walker, assistant professor and chair of the Department of Accounting.

Greensboro College provides a liberal arts education grounded in the traditions of the United Methodist Church and fosters the intellectual, social, and, spiritual development of all students while supporting their individual needs.

Founded in 1838 and located in downtown Greensboro, the college enrolls about 1,000 students from 29 states and territories, the District of Columbia, and seven foreign countries in its undergraduate liberal-arts program and six master's degree programs. In addition to rigorous academics and a well-supported Honors program, the school features a 17-sport NCAA Division III athletic program and dozens of service and recreational opportunities.
