Greensboro College Baseball Alum Sam Peddycord Signs With High Point Rockers

Greensboro, NC (07/09/2024) — High Point, NC - Former Greensboro College Baseball player Sam Peddycord has been signed by the High Point Rockers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB). Peddycord is from Kernersville, NC and graduated from Greensboro in 2023.

Peddycord played his senior season with the Pride, pitching to a 3.49 ERA with 61 strikeouts in 77.1 innings pitched. Peddycord becomes the fourth Pride Baseball player to play professionally, along with Eddy Milian ('17), Adam Murray ('19), and Thomas Sullivan. Sullivan went on to pitch in the Cleveland Guardians (formerly the Indians) minor league system in 1970.

Notable former MLB players who have played in the ALPB include Tim Raines ('00), Ricky Henderson ('03, '04, '05), and Stephen Drew ('05).
