Greensboro College Golfer Watcharakan Chankarn Named Finalist for Gary Player International Golfer of the Year
Greensboro, NC (06/17/2025) — Norman, OK - Greensboro Men's Golf junior Watcharakan Chankarn has been named an NCAA Division III Gary Player International Golfer of the Year finalist, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America in partnership with FlightScope on Tuesday.
The Gary Player International Golfer of the Year Award is an annual award given to the top NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCAA golfers each year. The Gary Player Award is selected by GCAA International member coaches with representation from around the world.
Chankarn, from Chonburi, Thailand, earned a trip to the NCAA Division III National Championships this spring and finished the year ranked #25 in the nation according to Scoreboard national rankings.
Chankarn had one top 3 finish this season, which was a second place finish at the West Pines Collegiate. He totaled five top 5 finishes and four top 10's.
