Greensboro College Men's Soccer Takes Down Mary Baldwin 6-3

Greensboro, NC (10/09/2025) — Staunton, VA - It was a scoring barrage for Greensboro College Men's Soccer (6-3-3, 1-1-0) as they scored 6 goals in a 6-3 win over Mary Baldwin (2-9-1, 0-3-0) on Wednesday.

The win is the first conference win of the season for the Pride. The team got two goals from Kalle Hermansson and one goal each from Gustav Ohman, Jalen King, Sergio Garcia-Barrios, and Mika Rudel.

The scoring started with a Hermansson goal just 2:39 into the match on an assist by Alias Goldsberry. In the 18th minute, Ohman would score his 7th goal of the year off an assist from Tyler Ghazanfari.

Before the first half ended, Jalen King scored his 3rd goal of the year to give Greensboro a 3-0 lead going into the half. At the start of half number two, it was Garcia-Barrios who scored just over a minute into the second half to give the Pride a 4-0 advantage.

Rudel later scored his first collegiate goal in the 66th minute to bring the score to 5-1. Hermansson scored his second goal of the day and 7th of the season at the 74:30 mark for the team's 6th goal of the match. Mary Baldwin would score 3 second half goals, but it wouldn't be enough to overcome the Greensboro offense.

In goal, Alvaro Hermosa got the win, playing the first half and earning 2 saves.

The Pride will play again on the road this Saturday when they travel to Pfeiffer for a 6:00 pm match.
