Greensboro College's Frank Walker Named to D3football.com's Team of the Week
Greensboro, NC (10/01/2024) — The Greensboro football team received national recognition on Tuesday, as freshman defensive lineman Frank Walker was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week.
Walker, a freshman from Winston-Salem, NC, recorded 1.5 sacks and 2.0 tackles for loss in the team's 42-23 win over Southern Virginia on Saturday. Walker also had 2 QB hurries and 5 tackles.
The North Forsyth High School product's breakout game was part of an 8 sack performance by the Pride defense. Walker said of the recognition, I'm thankful for Allah and the family I am blessed with having. I wouldn't have ever touched the field without them."
Head coach Tyler Card said, "I'm very proud of Frank and his accomplishment this week. He has been a very hard worker and found a way to get on the field as a freshman. His tenacity and his integrity are what is going to help him be most successful moving forward. It's great to see him having success from his hard work."
