Greensboro College's Ivy Ray Named Second Team All-Region
Greensboro, NC (05/18/2025) — Louisville, KY - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released their NCAA Division III softball All-Region teams on Friday, and Greensboro College's Ivy Ray was named Second Team All-Region.
Ray, a Ledford High School graduate, had her best season in her career in 2025, hitting .408 with 11 triples. Her 11 triples was tied for the NCAA Division III lead at the end of the regular season. She also had an on-base percentage of .455, 49 runs scored, and 62 hits, all career highs.
Earlier this spring, Ray was named USA South First Team All-Conference for the first time in her career. She was also named Greensboro College's Fred Joseph Female Athlete of the Year along with women's soccer senior Amery Skinner.
Ray says of her All-Region selection, "I would like to thank my coaches for always believing in me and pushing me to be the best player I could be. They brought my skills out of the shadows and into the light. I also would like to thank my parents for always supporting me and believing in me no matter what I do."
Ray finished her Greensboro career with a .370 batting average, 138 runs scored, and 16 triples. She broke the program record in career games played, triples, at-bats, and stolen bases.
