Greensboro College's Morgan Mayfield Earns CSC Academic All-Region Honors, Selected as Academic All-America Finalist
Greensboro, NC (12/18/2024) — Greensboro, NC - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2024 women's volleyball Academic All-District list on Tuesday, and Greensboro's Morgan Mayfield was named an Academic All-District recipient. Mayfield was also selected as a finalist for the CSC Academic All-American team that will be announced in January.
Mayfield earned a 4.0 GPA over the semester along with multiple conference and national awards and recognition. Mayfield was named USA South Libero of the Year, 2nd Team All-Conference, and Honorable Mention All-Region by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
Mayfield was ranked top 10 in NCAA Division III in digs (679) and digs/set (6.23). Her 6.23 digs/set broke the USA South single-season record for digs/set.
