Greensboro, NC (11/12/2025) — After a record setting and historic 2025 regular season, Greensboro College Volleyball was represented with key awards on Wednesday as the USA South Conference announced their All-Conference teams.

Senior Payton Shiflet was named USA South Volleyball Player of the Year for the second time in her illustrious career. Shiflet also won Player of the Year in 2023. In the regular season, Shiflet totaled 389 kills, surpassing her career high in 2022 of 362. She led the conference with 5.19 points and 4.69 kills per set. She also had 2.90 digs/set. Shiflet is just the second Greensboro volleyball player to win two conference player of the year awards, with Katie Smith being the other. She was also named First Team All-Conference for the third time in her Greensboro career.

Head coach Dan Bozarth was named USA South Volleyball Coach of the Year in just his first season leading the program. Bozarth helped lead the Pride to a 26-2 overall record and an 18-0 conference record in the regular season. Bozarth becomes the first Greensboro volleyball head coach to win the award since Jean Lojko in 2004. The team's undefeated 18-0 conference record was the first since Maryville completed the feat in 2021, and ties the best overall conference record in USA South history.

Morgan Mayfield was named USA South Volleyball Libero of the Year for the second year in a row. Mayfield once again was dominant defensively all year long, currently sitting 7th place in NCAA Division III with 5.98 digs per set during the regular season. She totaled 532 digs on the regular season and had 6.30 digs per set in conference games. Mayfield was also named First Team All-Conferene for the first time in her career.

More accolades came Greensboro's way on Wednesday as Jaylyn Templeton and Taylor Cotie were both named Second Team All-Conference, while Grace Young was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Templeton had another outstanding season as the team's setter, totaling 796 assists with 163 digs and 29 service aces. Templeton moved into second place all-time in total assists in program history earlier this season. Cotie had a career year in her senior campaign, as she had a .325 hitting percentage, a career high, and 59 total blocks. Her hitting percentage ranks second in the conference while ranking top-ten for blocks in the conference.

Young had another steady season as a key leader for the team. Young totaled 238 digs in the regular season, teaming with Morgan Mayfield to form one of the best defensive duos in the USA South. She also had 40 service aces and 20 assists. This is the second year in a row Young has been named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
