Greensboro College's Watcharakan Chankarn Earns USA South Men's Golfer of the Week Honors
Greensboro, NC (10/09/2024) — The USA South Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday that Greensboro's Watcharakan Chankarn has been named the USA South Men's Golfer of the Week.
Chankarn shot -4 under par at the West Pines Collegiate Tournament earlier this week, finishing 2nd place in the tournament. Chankarn, a junior from Chonburi, Thailand, is in his first season with the Pride men's golf team.
Head coach Steve Johnson said of Chankarn, "Outstanding young man, player, and leader. He has great course management and has been under par in all three tournaments this year."
Chankarn and the Pride will hit the course again October 13th-15th when they play in the DIII Fall Invitational at The Raven Golf Club in Sandestin, Florida.
