Greensboro College Volleyball Advances to USA South Championship Game
Greensboro, NC (11/14/2025) — The Greensboro College Volleyball team (28-2) defeated Meredith College (19-12) 3-0 on Thursday night to advance to the USA South Conference Championship match.
Big nights from multiple players helped lift Greensboro to victory. Kelci Brooks had a 17 kill night while also having 14 digs for a double-double. Taylor Cotie had a 7 kill, 4 block performance while Karla del Castillo had 3 blocks and 7 kills. del Castillo also had a .538 hitting percentage.
Skylar Rokov came through with a big night, collecting 3 blocks and 5 kills on the right side. Morgan Mayfield and Grace Young teamed up to combine for 32 digs, while Young had 4 service aces. Setter Jaylyn Templeton had 29 assists.
The Pride advance to the conference title game for the first time since 2023. They will face the #2 seed in the tournament, Southern Virginia, Saturday night inside Hanes Gym. In the regular season, Greensboro won both matches against the Knights. Southern Virginia defeated Salem in their semifinal match to advance to the championship game.
Saturday's game will take place at 5:00 pm. Greensboro will be looking for their first USA South Tournament Championship since 1997. The Knights will look to defend their 2024 conference championship.
