Greensboro College Volleyball Extends Winning Streak to Eleven Games
Greensboro, NC (10/15/2025) — Greensboro, NC - It was another strong effort by Greensboro College Volleyball (16-2, 10-0) on Tuesday as they took down William Peace (8-12, 1-7) 3-0 inside Hanes Gym. Senior Payton Shiflet also earned a big career milestone, reaching 1,000 career kills.
Greensboro controlled the match throughout, as they took the first set 25-15, the second set 25-13, and the final set 25-20. The Pride were dominant in serve-receive, as they totaled 15 service aces on the match. Jaylyn Templeton led the team with 6 aces followed by Morgan Mayfield with 5.
Greensboro was also strong defensively, as Mayfield totaled 18 digs while Shiflet had 12. Taylor Cotie had a big game with 9 kills, just 3 kills off her season-high of 12. Skylar Rokov had 7 kills on the night.
The win extends the team's winning streak to 11 games, and maintains their lead in the conference standings. Greensboro will play again when they travel to Methodist on Thursday at 7:00 pm.
