Greensboro College Volleyball's Morgan Mayfield Wins USA South Defensive Player of the Week
Greensboro, NC (09/02/2024) — It was a great weekend of volleyball for Greensboro's Morgan Mayfield, as the sophomore libero was named USA South volleyball defensive player of the week.
Mayfield, the reigning USA South Rookie of the Year, totaled 69 digs in three games last weekend. The Pride played #9 Emory University, Piedmont University, and Huntingdon College.
Against Huntingdon, Mayfield totaled 30 digs in the team's 3-1 victory. In all three games combined, Mayfield averaged 6.27 digs/set, 8 assists, and 5 service aces.
