Greensboro College Wrestler Josh Wilson Ranked #1 in NCAA Division III in 141lb Weight Class

Greensboro, NC (10/31/2024) — Greensboro men's wrestler Josh Wilson has been ranked by The Open Mat as the top wrestler in the 141lb weight class in NCAA Division III heading into the 2024-2025 season. The men's wrestling team is also ranked #22 in the nation by The Open Mat.

Wilson, who is coming off his first NCAA National Championship, enters his final season and looks to repeat as the 141lb National Champion. Along with his National Title, Wilson won the ODAC Conference Championship and was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the ODAC Tournament. He was also named an Academic All-American and was named an NCAA All-American after his run in the NCAA Tournament.

Greensboro's men's wrestling team is ranked #22 in the nation in the tournament team rankings. Greensboro finished last year ranked in the top 25, and look to build off the momentum of last season.

The team begins the 2024-2025 season at the Ithaca Invitational in Ithaca, New York this Friday and Saturday. The Pride will host their first home dual match November 19th inside Reynolds Gymnasium against St. Andrews.
