Greensboro's Evan Sykes Named Preseason Third Team All-American
Greensboro, NC (01/14/2025) — Greensboro, NC - The D3Baseball.com Preseason All-American teams were announced on Tuesday, and Greensboro College shortstop Evan Sykes has been named a Preseason Third Team All-American.
Sykes, a native of Graham, NC and graduate of Southern Alamance High School, will enter his junior season in 2025, looking to build off an impressive slash line of .360/.468/.648 a season ago. He also hit 7 home runs and drove in 46 runs. His 2024 total of 7 home runs is tied for tenth all-time in a single season in program history, while his 46 RBI ranks 5th all-time for a single season.
In his 75 game career, Sykes has a .333 batting average, .441 on-base percentage, and 12 home runs.
