MEDIA ALERT: Broadway Comes to Governor's School at Greensboro College

June 26 at 2:00pm at Greensboro College

Greensboro, NC (06/25/2025) — Greensboro College is thrilled to welcome one of the stars of Some Like It Hot, the Broadway hit on stage at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts June 24-29. Matt Loehr will teach a tap-dance masterclass for high school students attending North Carolina Governor's School Thursday, June 26 at 2:00pm. Matt plays Joe/Josephine in the touring production of Some Like It Hot. He taught locally as a guest artist at UNCSA for two years.

Original Broadway casts: Elf the Musical, Promises, Promises (2010 Revival), Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Mel Brooks's The Producers. Other Broadway: Evita, Movin' Out, and Fosse.

About North Carolina Governor's School

The North Carolina Governor's School is a four-week summer residential program for gifted and talented high school students, integrating academic disciplines, the arts, and unique courses on each of two campuses. Learning focuses on the exploration of the most recent ideas and concepts in each discipline, and it does not involve credit, tests, or grades. Students are selected to attend through a competitive process after being nominated by their public school unit or non-public school.
