Three Greensboro College Women's Wrestlers Ranked Regionally to Begin 2025-2026
Greensboro, NC (10/20/2025) — The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released the NCAA Women's Wrestling preseason regional rankings this week, and the Greensboro College Women's Wrestling team has three wrestlers ranked in Region 3.
In the 138 pound class, sophomore Kyra Tomlinson is ranked third in Region 3 to begin 2025-2026. Tomlinson had a strong freshman campaign that saw her go 26-7 and was ranked inside the top 20 nationally in the 138 pound class. Tomlinson also earned a trip to the NCWWC National Tournament.
Hailie Misplay returns for her second season after missing last season due to injury, and she is ranked fifth in the 145 pound weight class. Her freshman campaign was also one to remember, as she went 22-3 in 2022-2023 and ranked #10 nationally. She was also named an Academic All-American.
Jasmine Edwards returns to the mat this season after also missing the 2024-2025 season. Edwards is ranked fifth regionally in the 207 pound weight class entering the season. Edwards last wrestled in the 2023-2024 season.
Head coach Justin Harty says on the women's wrestling season, "We are excited for the women's wrestling season! We added five ladies to our team and we have several ranked women's wrestlers in the country, which is an outstanding recognition of the hard work and effort our ladies have put in! We are excited to get the season started, and invite everybody out to our green vs white scrimmage from 11:00 am to noon on October 25th at Reynolds Athletic Center!"
