Greensboro College Awards 2021-2022 Moore Professorship to Kathleen Keating
Greensboro, NC (05/11/2022) — Greensboro College has named Kathleen Keating, Professor of English; Chair of English, Communication & Media Studies; Director, First Citizens Bank Global Communication Center, its Moore Professor for 2021-2022.
She earned her B.A. from Wellesley College with double majors in psychology and English. She earned her M.A. in English from the University of California, Irvine, and her Ph.D. in English from the same university. She joined Greensboro College in 1998.
The Moore Professor Award is presented annually at Commencement to a member of the college's full-time faculty for the subsequent academic year. It recognizes an outstanding accomplishment or set of accomplishments, such as the publication of a scholarly work, the creation or performance of an artistic work, meritorious service to the college, or recognition by a professional organization.

Founded in 1838 and located in downtown Greensboro, the college enrolls about 1,000 students from 29 states and territories, the District of Columbia, and a dozen foreign countries in its undergraduate liberal-arts program and six master's degree programs.
