Timothy Samuel Crowell Wins Alpha Chi Graduate Fellowship

Timothy Samuel Crowell, a graduating senior at Greensboro College, has won a $1,000 graduate fellowship from Alpha Chi, a national, interdisciplinary honor society. He won for his senior thesis titled, "Hollywood Therapy: The Portrayal of Mental Health Professionals in American Film from 2010 to 2017." The competition involved seniors from colleges in the eight Southeastern states of Alpha Chi's Region III.

42 First- and Second-Year Students at Greensboro College Receive Academic Awards

Greensboro College honored 42 first- and second-year students April 14 during the college's annual Academic Awards Convocation with the Howard C. Wilkinson Award for outstanding academic performance. The Wilkinson Award is presented by the college's chapter of the national academic honor society Alpha Chi. To be eligible, first-year students must have at least 14 hours of credits for grades (other than P) at Greensboro College, with a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.6. Second-year students must have at least 45 hours of credits for grades and a minimum GPA of 3.6. The winners are:
