Inductees must must have attended college for at least three semesters, have amassed 16 credit hours of religion coursework with a 3.5 or better grade-point average, have an overall grade-point average of 3.0 or better, and rank in the top 35 percent of their classes.

Greensboro College annually recognizes its top traditional undergraduate, adult undergraduate, and graduate students as voted upon by the faculty.

Two graduating seniors were commissiond as second lieutenants during Commencement, one in the Army and one in the Air Force.

Induction into Phi Alpha Theta requires at least 12 credit hours in History with a minimum grade-point average of 3.1 in those courses and 3.0 overall, as well as an overall academic ranking in the top 35 percent of one's class.

Induction into Alpha Phi Sigma signifies academic excellence both overall and within the discipline for criminal-justice majors and minors.

Earning induction into the Psi Chi international honor society in psychology by being at least second-semester sophomores, being enrolled as psychology majors or minors, having completed at least nine semester hours or 14 quarter hours of psychology courses, having an overall GPA in the top 35% of their respective classes and at least a 3.0 overall average on a 4.0 scale, and have at least a 3.0 average in their psychology courses.

Winning the Thelma Dixon Taylor Religion Scholarship for outstanding achievement in religious studies.

Students from various disciplines at the college received honors for high GPA or other forms of outstanding academic performance and leadership during 2013-2014.

This award is granted to freshmen (now sophomores) and sophomores (now juniors) who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.6 in their academic work after one or two years at Greensboro College.

To qualify, students must have completed at least half their required courses for a business administration degree with a minimum GPA of 3.25 and rank academically in the top 20% of their class.

Student marshals are selected each spring to assist in official college convocations and functions during the coming year. Marshals are the top-ranking students academically in the current year's junior class.

A team of students from Greensboro College won honorable mention in a recipe contest sponsored by the Greensboro-based Biscuitville restaurant chain.

The 2013 edition of The Lyre, Greensboro College's annual student-produced literary magazine, received first place again this year from the American Scholastic Press Association among colleges its size. The first-place award, in the category of colleges and universities with between 1,001 and 1,700 students, is the second consecutive top prize for The Lyre from the association. Dozens of Greensboro College students received honors, awards and academic scholarships at the college's academic awards convocation, held April 14 in Hannah Brown Finch Memorial Chapel. The event was part of Alumni Weekend festivities and helped kick off the year-long observation of the 175th anniversary of the college's founding. The list of honorees follows:
